Questions

What does OMAD mean?

OMAD means one meal a day: most calories in one sitting and a long gap around it. On this timer the OMAD chip is a ~23-hour goal. It is a clock, not a prescription.

How is OMAD different from 16:8?

16:8 is an 8-hour eating window. OMAD compresses eating into roughly one meal. That is a bigger jump than skipping breakfast. See Common fasting schedules if you want the comparison without a ranking.

What can I drink?

Water is the default. Black coffee or unsweetened tea are optional. Calories in the cup end a strict fast.

Who should not try this unsupervised?

Do not start unsupervised if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, underweight, or living with an eating disorder, or if you take insulin or other glucose-lowering drugs without a clinician. Read Who should be careful.

Is this an app I have to download?

No. This is a web timer. No app store. You can add it to the home screen later if you want.
